Sustainable Farming Under Microscope for Australian Olive Association Field Day
Olive Oil Producers and Industry Experts from around the country had a 'Field Day' at the Farm in February, as sustainable farming went under the microscope for the Australian Olive Association's (AOA) industry gathering to discuss Integrated Pest and Disease Management Programs (IPDM).
Proudly hosted at Olio Bello, the event discussed ways in which industry and scientists can work together to find natural solutions to pest control and issues facing Australian olive farms.
A lively exchange of ideas resulted in the shared understanding that a balance between pests, natural predators and overall tree health is essential for quality olive oil production.
