'WELL OILED' FOR HEALTH!
Olio Bello certified organic Extra Virgin Olive Oiil, is produced at the farm from the 'ground up' and is a true labour of love. Still using traditional hand-picking methods at harvest, our olives are then pressed here at the farm in one of the world's finest Pressing Mills: the Pieralisi, which was imported from Italy.
Our oil then flows straight from the press in its raw and unfiltered state. This 'secret elixir' has been revered throughout history, for its rich antioxidant, culinary and cultural value! Great philosphers even dubbed it - pure liquid gold, given its medicinal qualities.
After a 3 month settling process, we release our new season oil, across our collection range of Estate Pressed, Infused and Flavoured Olive Oils, for all to enjoy!
Today, the research around the health benefits of olives, olive oil and the Mediterranean Diet - have been well documented and is rapidly gaining global momentum.
For example, Harvard Health has recently published findings reporting on the significant health benefits of even 'half a teaspoon' of olive oil per day!
The sustained findings are showing that health benefits can be attributed to its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties - with studies showing a link between lower risks of cardiovascular disease, some cancers, and even dementia in those who consume higher amounts of olive oil than those who use little or none.
